Senior Product Manager

Candid seeks a strategic Senior Product Manager who possesses an outstanding track record of creating value-driven subscription products and developing scalable e-commerce solutions. Position: Senior Product Manager

Reporting to: Director of Product Management

Supervises: N/A

Schedule:  35-hour work week, Monday through Friday

Location: Flexible. In-person attendance is expected during our annual, weeklong all-staff summit. Additionally, participation in in-person meetings is expected at least once per year for most employees, and at least once per quarter for senior leaders.

Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000 (this range is for the NYC area and will be adjusted for other localities; additionally, factors like skills and experience will be considered)

Position Summary

Unique product management opportunity to drive social change working for an exceptional technology and user-centric nonprofit. Candid’s products offer best-in-class data about the social sector and are used by companies and nonprofits to facilitate their work as change agents. The Senior Product Manager will work with a Director of Product Management to maintain a product roadmap for their assigned product portfolio, executing end-to-end features that drive customer acquisition and retention. He/She/They will drive innovation that enhances overall customer experience to exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain a product backlog for Candid’s Business Systems, managing integrations between our B2B e-commerce and user-facing platforms, such as GuideStar and Foundation Directory
  • Oversee the development of Candid’s search methodology and tools, including integrations with the product portfolios of other teams
  • Balance the distribution of team resources to next-generation product needs with ongoing maintenance and customer support for legacy systems
  • Maintaining deep knowledge of the competitive landscape
  • Create and assess product requirements and implementation options, balancing value with the level of effort to achieve key product and revenue goals.
  • Create tickets in Jira, prioritize the tickets, and maintain Jira board for assigned products.
  • Attend Daily scrums: Listen, learn, provide answers, make fast trade-offs
  • Work with Finance, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams to prioritize requests and deliver both MVPs and iterations
  • Monitor and report on key metrics including, but not limited to, retention and churn, daily and monthly active users, and engagement
  • Work with other product managers to align on Agile best-practices
  • Create documentation for new and existing features to help bring product knowledge together into a single source of truth
  • Review software builds and provide Go-No-Go for releases.
  • Maintain release notes for internal stakeholders.
  • Work in other product domains as needed.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of Product Management experience
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams, facilitating conversations between design, development, and others
  • Experience working with subscriptions via e-commerce
  • Salesforce or other B2B subscription product management experience
  • Knowledge of credit payment processing systems and other forms of e-commerce, including ACH
  • Technical experience working with data queries and APIs
  • Experience writing highly technical documentation as well as simplifying for external audiences
  • Familiarity with Atlassian software suite, including JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience in both Kanban and Scrum forms of agile software development
  • U.S.-based work hours preferred (EST-PST)
  • College degree preferred; equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • Willingness to perform other duties and special projects as needed/requested.
