Meet the fellows

Dallana Nicole Camargo is the proud immigrant daughter of Colombian parents who gave up a lot to provide their children with access to opportunities like being in this space today. She is a queer Colombian-American woman who is part of a collective searching for social justice. She currently holds the position of Communications Associate for Empower House, a local San Antonio nonprofit.Dallana is entering her capstone semester of a Masters of Public Administration at UTSA. She graduated from UTSA with a Bachelor of Arts in Women’s Studies. She attributes her upbringing to better position her to understand the impacts of a lack of representation for low-income communities. This understanding fuels her to fight for intersectional equity. Dallana believes that all beings deserve equal opportunities and representation in all spaces and mobilizes young people to demand the change they need. She looks forward to continuing to grow and learn from others to fight for social change.
