SUMMARY STATEMENT:

Playing a central and critical role to the Museum’s cybersecurity efforts, the Cybersecurity Coordinator supports the Associate Vice President of IT & Security in analyzing risk, developing plans, and implementing changes for a range of technical, process, and policy areas within IT and across the institution. Under the direction of the AVP of IT & Security, the Cybersecurity Coordinator works with IT management, IT staff, Human Resources, and other departments to conduct regular reviews of policies, regulations, and cybersecurity best practices, and the Museum’s risk profile to develop and implement changes to its policies, practices, tools, and technical configurations to mitigate cyber risk. This role develops and implements cybersecurity awareness training programs in concert with the Human Resources department, conducts regular audits of accounts across a variety of systems, and is the central coordinator of compliance filings and cyber insurance applications. The Cybersecurity Coordinator also participates in a range of projects to help guide and support best practices and adherence to policies and regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • 20+ security-related policies
  • 400 End Users to be trained
  • Coordinate with IT Staff of 20
  • 10+ major systems, some cloud-based
  • 100+ servers in IT environment
  • Coordinate/participate in 5 or more projects per year
  • May occasionally work evenings and/or weekends

WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is regular, full-time Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week

REPORTS TO:

Associate Vice President, IT & Security

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post high school course work, technical degree, associate’s degree, business or vocational
  • 2 or more years of Information Technology or Auditing
  • Experience working in a technical, audit, or compliance role in an IT or Audit department or in an analogous consulting role
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computer hardware, software, or networks
  • Demonstrated experience with IT policies
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, track, and manage detailed information
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal

STARTING SALARY:

Exempt (Salaried). $61,500 to $ 66,500 / year

VACCINATION POLICY:
