NTC Speaker Resources

NTC 2008

We hope you'll find everything you need to put together an outstanding session at the NTC. If you can't find what you're looking for check the Session Designer Guide you received with your confirmation email (also located at the bottom of this page), or email Anna. You can also see a complete list of this year's speakers here.

Session Date and Time

Please check the NTC agenda for your session date and time (available mid-December).

Session setup forms & handouts

If you don't have one already, please download a Session Setup Form. We use these forms to update the web site, the program, book, evaluation forms and more. We live by these forms. So, please fill out the form for your session as completely as possible and upload here by January 16, 2008. If you have any questions, please email Anna at your earliest convenience.

Your session materials (powerpoints, handouts) are due on February 13, 2008. We include these materials in the conference program book, so this is your best opportunity to make sure that your brilliant ideas are shared with all the conference attendees.

  • Session setup forms due: Jan 16 2008
  • Session handouts due: February 13, 2008

FREE Webinar for Presenters

To help you and your speakers prepare for the NTC, we're making available to you, for free, a webinar recording: Andy Goodman on Why Bad Presentations Happen to Good Causes. To access the webinar, click on the link and use access code 5439. Click here to learn about all our webinars.

Register for the Conference (if you haven't already)

As you know, we ask all speakers and session designers to volunteer their time and expertise at the NTC. This allows us to keep the conference rate as low as possible for the sector. If you haven't already done so, please register for the conference. If this is your first time logging in to the NTEN site, your user name is your email address, and your password is your last name. If you can't remember your password, use the "forgot your password?" link at the bottom of the login page and it will be sent to you via email.

Conference Hotel & Other Information

You can find information about conference-related travel and accommodations online. You need to make your own hotel reservation and can do so by using the link on the travel page. NTEN has arranged a special rate of $139 a night for attendees.

Conference 2.0

We know that, in the course of thinking through your session, you'll be blogging, taking photos, and tagging the materials you find useful. Share your brainpower! Contribute to the NTC experience before, during and after the conference:

  • Add the tag "08NTC" to any Flickr photo
  • Add the "08NTC" tag in del.icio.us to any link you want to share
  • Add the following to your blog: <a xhref="http://technorati.com/tag/08NTC" rel="tag">08NTC</a>

PowerPoint Template

For those of you who will be using PowerPoint at the conference, we recommend that you use the Official NTC PowerPoint Template!

Session logistics

All sessions are 90 minutes and will be equipped with a wireless Internet connection, screen, and LCD projector. If you need anything on site at the event, flag down anyone with a walkie talkie - we can get you what you need.
