The line-up of books focused on nonprofit tech continues (and all of our NTEN authors will be at the NTC, ready to sign and read!) with a NEW one that I was part of at the very beginning a few years back:
Nonprofit Technology: Emerging Research for Usable Knowledge by Michael Cortess and Kevin Rafter are the editors;both are at the University of San Francisco.
Some sample chapters from some dear NTEN members and friends include:
- "Geeks for Good: Technology Evangelism and the Role of Circuit Riders in IT Adoption among Nonprofits" by our wonderful colleague Paul-Brian McInerney who is an editor for the forthcoming NTEN and Gilbert Center "Journal for ICT in Social Change Organizations;
- Barriers to Information Technology Usage in the Nonprofit Sector by NTEN member Peter Manzo and Bill Pitkin (Peter is on the Advisory Committee for the NTEN and NPower TechImpact Project); and
- Organizational Strategies to Foster the Adaptation and Integration of Technology in Grassroots Social Justice Organizations by Carol Silverman and Kevin Rafter. Carol is also advising the NTEN and NPower TechImpact Project)
