Position Summary
This role develops and manages UJA-Federation of New York’s online marketing approach, from inception of online initiatives through post-program analysis and optimization. This position requires an experienced professional who can understand and translate overall business and marketing requirements into concrete goals, strategies, project plans, and successful execution of online marketing initiatives. The position is required to integrate efforts with colleagues across the Direct Marketing department to achieve overall marketing goals of building awareness, acquiring new donors, retaining existing donors, and generating traffic to the website. This manager should have experience segmenting and targeting key constituent groups appropriately in terms of message, timing, and channel. UJA-Federation will look to this person to contribute to and interpret market research, which may be conducted online or off-line as a means to gain insight into the donor and prospect base. The Online Marketing Manager must also collaborate with colleagues across the larger marketing division and organization to ensure the interactive marketing programs reflect the needs, personality, and quality standards of UJA-Federation.

Major Responsibilities
1.Develop and execute UJA-Federation online marketing strategies and marketing plans, partnering with key business and creative partners, including but not restricted to:
a.SEO/SEM programs and campaigns
b.Online banner advertising
c.E-mail capture campaigns
d.E-mail solicitation and relationship development campaigns
2.Ensure execution is on time and on budget.
3.Help propose and develop social media, mobile, and viral marketing strategies, and execute against them.
4.Identify opportunities to distribute the right content to the right person at the right time, and then leverage the opportunity to further engage that donor or prospect segment.
5.Track and measure such online marketing activity as campaign effectiveness and target segmentation, and design test strategies and creative to optimize results.
6.Develop and manage calendar to ensure that campaigns are executed accurately and effectively.
7.Coordinate development and execution of online activity in conjunction with off-line and telegiving initiatives; analyze online activity and results in conjunction with off-line and telegiving activity and results to ensure the integration of all the channels is optimized for greatest overall results.
8.Help select and manage direct interactive agencies so they meet business performance objectives.
9.Develop and manage budget and forecast for online marketing programs.
10.Support the executive director as needed to create, manage, and execute related marketing efforts.

-Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to diverse audiences
-Ability to develop a marketing strategy and plan and then execute against it
-Extremely analytical and facile with statistics used to evaluate and optimize online marketing efforts
-Able to develop reports that will be used on an ongoing basis to monitor campaigns, as well as reports that will be used on an ad hoc basis, to understand details, trends, and so forth
-Comfortable with segmentation and targeting to get the right message to the right person at the right time through the right venue
-Able to impart knowledge, develop skills in others, and motivate them to accomplish tasks
-Creative, persuasive, and strategic thinker
-Capacity to manage multiple priorities

-Strong knowledge of the Jewish community and the issues facing it
-A personal commitment to American Jewish philanthropy and Israel

Experience/Skills/Education
-Proven track record of creating, developing, and managing successful digital marketing campaigns yielding specific and significant results against stated goals
-In-depth knowledge of interactive marketing and current Internet technology, and fluency with the current and next generation of Internet functionality and user behavior
-Experience with search-engine optimization and search-marketing strategies
-Experience planning, budgeting, “road mapping,” and managing complex processes and projects
-Prior experience negotiating with and managing third-party consultants and vendors
-Three to five years experience in a responsible position in the interactive field
-Experience with direct mail a plus
-Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree preferred
