Job Details

Responsibilities of the Associate will include but are not limited to:

  • Managing and ensuring exceptionally reliable internet, email, and network functions and internal IT/tech support for AF’s Connecticut charter schools
  • Providing technical support for servers, LAN, wireless LAN, PCs, printers, and VOIP phones
  • Managing and supporting Achievement First’s Student Information System (Infinite Campus database)
  • Working in conjunction with Achievement First’s IT Team Leaders to maintain network and infrastructure used across two states and twelve locations
  • Training teachers in computer use and software programs
  • Working with vendors to ensure exceptionally reliable operations
  • Monitoring budget/ordering/receiving for the Information Technology team
Skills and Characteristics
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with Windows Server 2003, Windows XP, databases, Microsoft Office
  • Previous hands-on technical support experience (hardware and software)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Motivated, self-starter, able to work independently
  • Preferred hands-on system administration or networking experience

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree from a competitive college or university
  • 1-5 years of work experience
