Roger Burks is a Senior Writer/Editor for Mercy Corps. His travels for the agency have taken him to 12 countries including China, Kosovo, Niger and Uganda, as well as taking part in the initial response to Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana. Previous to his four years at Mercy Corps, Burks worked for CARE USA and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Togo.

He also presented in the session Connections in Crisis: Using Technology to Bring People Together at the 2008 Nonprofit Technology Conference.
