We are seeking a professional who has the managerial responsibility for strategy, planning, customer service, relationship management, application development, and implementation of solutions that enable the goals of AARP Social Impact functions, specifically, in volunteer management operations and systems.

Duties

• Direct technology strategy, vision, planning, and architecture for the social impact operations function and volunteer management functions.
• Work with IT Leadership team to create, evolve, and implement enterprise-wide IT strategy.
• Effectively manage the portfolio of applications, technology, and services supporting the social impact function and volunteer management systems.
• Responsible for the development and maintenance of software applications.
• Work with business executives to understand and improve operations through business process improvements and technology enablement.
• Ensure that internal IT governance and management processes are enforced and improved.
• Continuously monitor and manage IT cost effectiveness both within and across the IT organization.
• Directly supervise professional and administrative staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7 - 10 years of experience related to the duties of the position in a similar technology support role to large multi-unit operations, large volunteer driven organizations, and operations requiring collaboration among disparate individuals for a common goal.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing a large staff organization of over 30 employees.
