Job Details

The manager is expected to have a solid understanding and technical fluency with at least one of CITI's service areas: network operations and support, online strategy and planning, website development, database development and administration, strategic technology planning and/or software selection consulting.

Major Responsibilities (with estimated percentages of time spent in each area)

Project management [50%]

  • Manage project team and resources necessary to deliver services
  • Provide oversight of project scope, quality, time and cost
  • Provide leadership to the project team
  • Report project status to stakeholders
  • Manage implementation, organizational change, utilize risk assessment and practice conflict resolution
  • Interact regularly with client project team and client executive staff, and with 3rd-party consultants and vendors as-needed
  • Manage up to 5 projects at one time

Proposal writing [25%]

  • Participate in reviewing RFPs and writing proposals
  • Plan and document detailed project timelines and task lists
  • Work with clients to develop project scope, timeline and budget
  • Work with technical staff to plan, develop and deploy technical solutions

Sales [15%]

  • Understand and articulate how CITI services align with client strategy
  • Assist client in developing the project business cases/value propositions for envisioned projects

Account Management [10%]

  • Maintain positive, long-term relationships with approximately 10 clients (including active projects)
  • Resolve disputes and conflicts
  • Conduct periodic check-ins of the quality of service CITI is delivering

Qualifications

  • 4 years experience in technology sector: programmatic, project management, and/or direct technical support with some management  
  • Experience with managing technology projects  
  • Professional presence, mature and confident  
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills  
  • Self-starter, good time management skills and ability to lead a team  
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent education and experience combined
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations is highly preferred
