We are currently looking for a web generalist to join to our team of technology professionals. The ideal candidate has a broad understanding of the web and web technologies and can perform tasks related to the maintenance of web sites like HTML and CSS as well offer specific skills like search engine optimization research, usability, GUI design, Flash, Wordpress implementation and/or audio/video editing.

The web generalist assists the project manager and development team with different aspects of each project as needed. As such, the web generalist needs to have a broad understanding of all design and coding best practices, current technologies and the client‘s industry. The web generalist is an innovative thinker offering solutions that are both traditional and “outside the box”.

You will work closely with the Balance Technology Group team to carry-out project tasks as necessary.

• 3 years experience coding HTML and CSS
• Strong attention to detail; excellent analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to apply creative thinking to technology issues
• Curiosity to learn about new web technologies and approaches

What we require from you

• Hand-coding clean HTML and CSS.
• Understanding of good web design.
• Follow industry standard web design and coding techniques and practices.
• Provide time lines, estimates and status for development artifacts and project milestones.
• Participate in collaborative web design and project planning sessions.
• Provide appropriate style guides for all design deliverables.
• Follow industry standard quality assurance practices.
• Work both independently and collaboratively with team members and demonstrate innovation and accountability of assigned responsibilities.
