Presented by Henry Kumagai from CompuMentor

Nonprofits collect a LOT of data about the clients they serve. Every day, you’re collecting, storing, and analyzing very personal data about the people you work with – the kind of data that could be disastrous if it were to be lost or stolen. You may not be the techie in your office, but there’s a lot you can do to ensure that the data that your clients entrust you with is safe and secure.

TechSoup's Healthy and Secure Computing (HSC) Campaign helps nonprofits create reliable standards for their technology infrastructures. In this event we'll provide you with guidelines for securing your data, as well as creating a healthy technical infrastructure at your organization. This webinar is intended for program staff who would like to establish healthy and secure computing practices at their organization.

Among other things, you'll learn about technology best practices for desktops, laptops, data encryption, backup strategies, security software, and Web site privacy policies.

Price: $25 for NTEN members, $50 for non-members
