Presented by: Dale McGrew, GoLightly.

Dale McGrew of GoLightly will discuss how to make your existing online community thrive by showcasing best practices and case studies. Dale will showcase best practices in online community building, including: recruiting moderators, recruiting online community participants, turning lurkers into posters, creating a human knowledge management system, stimulating discussions, cooling down online flames, creating time-limited online discussions, highlighting member blog activity on your community, building bridges between your real-world community and online community, and measuring success. This session will be useful to organizations that have already launched online communities and are seeking to improve them. We'll review several case studies including NTEN's Affinity Groups, La Leche League International’s Community Network, and others. Takeaways include a checklist of techniques and best practices for online community development.
