ICEL 2007: The International Conference on e-Learning
The International Conference on e-Learning (ICEL) brings together academic research and practical applications of e-Learning from all areas. ICEL 2007 brings together varied groups of people with different perspectives, seeking to bring top research and proven best practices together into one location, for the purposes of helping practitioners find ways to put research into practice, and for researchers to gain an understanding of additional real-world problems.
ICEL’s goal is to bring together cutting-edge research with practical, real-life problems in business and in society, in order to advance the state of e-learning around the world. To achieve this goal, we are inviting researchers and practitioners from around the world to present their research findings and new ideas, and practitioners to demonstrate actual products.
ICEL 2007 will be held in New York, NY, in the United States. New York is one of the cultural centres of the world, providing a myriad of things to do and see: the Empire State Building, Broadway shows; the Statue of Liberty; Rockefeller Center; Times Square; the Bronx Zoo; the Brooklyn Bridge, museums from the Metropolitan to the Museum of Modern Art to the numerous specialized museums; Central Park; New York Yankees baseball; world-class shopping from high-end to bargains; over 18,000 restaurants; and more.
Filled with energy and excitement, with big business (such as Wall Street) and higher education (such as Columbia University), New York is a diverse city with something for everyone. For those who want to vary from the standard tourism paths, Manhattan alone has wonderful neighbourhoods to explore—each neighbourhood with a different character, history, and perspective.
Which brings us back to ICEL: it’s a conference designed to bring together groups of people with different perspectives, to explore and improve the field of e-learning in both its research and practice.
