Tech Resource Roundup

Flickr Photo: Michelle BreaFlickr Photo: Michelle BreaA couple of weeks ago, I wrote about some new strategies I'm using to keep track of the nineteen million things I'm either supposed to know or do something about. It's been working really well for me, but I realized that my netvibes page was missing hard tech news.

At the same time, we've been thinking about starting a book club here at NTEN and I wondered what good old fashioned books folks were reading about social media.

I asked for recommendations for both on Twitter yesterday and got a great list of ideas that several people asked me to compile. Here it is:

Where do you get your tech news?

What Social Media book would you recommend for newbies:

What would you add to the lists?

Keep your eyes peeled. We'll have a book club announcement soon!

Hey, Holly & NTENers.

I love the book club idea - I have a personal book club that I'm always tempted to sneak a tech book into, but as of yet have refrained. Here's an idea for you: what if you took that book club online? Could we have a group through Skype or Meebo or the NTEN site or some other fancy (and free?) tool?

At any rate, here are the books in my stack/on my list that might be related to tech, organizational development/organizational culture that pertains to tech or social media or mass collaboration, and/or the power of networks. I think an English teacher somewhere might cry at that sentence; I hope this smatter of books still lets you see what I mean.

(I confess, I've not read any of them, and so am offering them up less because I can vouch for them, and more as "Oooh, I want to read these!")
