At the Community Celebration held on the last day of the NTC, we honored George Hotelling and Jo Lee who received the Antonio Pizzigati Prize for Software in the Public Interest for their amazing work on CitizenSpeak. George built the open source code that runs CitizenSpeak, a free email advocacy service that gives grassroots organizations some fantastic email capabilities, and Jo manages the project. Congratulations again!

If you know of an organization or individual who has created software important to the nonprofit sector, it’s time to speak up! The Tides Foundation is accepting nominations for this year’s Pizzigati Prize through July 1. You can find out more about the application process here.

Nominate the software projects that are helping your work, and help reward the individuals behind them with some fame and fortune, to the tune of $10,000.
