Valentine's Day is just around the corner. It's a weird holiday, dedicated to the memories of two St. Valentines, both of whom died martyrs for their faith. I think it's strange that we tie true love to martyrdom and the greeting card industry. I prefer that my greeting card industry events are more upbeat. Like Mother's Day. Now that's a happy "holiday."

But I digress.

We here at NTEN believe that if you're going to celebrate martyrs for the cause, you ought to do it right. So we're declaring February 14 "Love Your Techie Day!" Take some time over the next couple of weeks to celebrate the techie in your life - accidental or otherwise. Let them know that you appreciate that they are the first in, the last to leave, and the one who gets blamed when anything goes wrong.
