Community Call: Convio/GetActive Merger. Bring your questions!

If you have questions for GetActive and Convio, then join us today Tuesday, February 6 at 11am Pacific/2 pm Eastern, for a live discussion with Sheeraz Haji and Tom Krackeler of GetActive and Gene Austin and Dave Crooke of Convio. NTEN Executive Director Katrin Verclas will moderate this event where you’ll get to ask questions about the impact of this merger on your work.

I definitely hear your concerns. From where we sit, we feel it's important to first hear it from the horse's mouth. That doesn't mean that we want to be a PR bullhorn - it just means that we want these folks to have a chance to tell their story.

But this IS a moderated call. You will be able to submit YOUR questions during the call, and Katrin, as moderator will make sure that as many questions get answered as possible.

That said, NTEN is all about community voices. That's why, immediately following the call, we're hosting an online chat for the community to dissect what they've just heard and try to make some sense of it.

So we think we've put something together here that will let the entire community get some some questions answered and have their say. I'm always open to suggestions - drop me a line at holly@nten.org.

I'm glad you're doing this, but I think you're title is off. I don't think the company representatives are in a position to offer an unbiased perspective on what this "means for the sector"? It's great to have them involved, but where are the critical observers and advocates for the interests of civil society? You have room for FOUR panelists, couldn't two of those be critics?

I might be totally missing something -but what time is this on Feb 6?
