News From the San Francisco Wireless Event
I'm here at the NTEN-hosted San Francisco Wireless event, "No Strings Attached: How Municipal Wireless will change the way you create social change," where many individuals from local nonprofit organizations as well as experts with advice about the devices and programs that will help noprofits take advantage of free, wide wireless access have gathered for a day of inspiration, ideas, and experimenting.
The morning started off with short presentations about some of the devices and programs available for local nonprofits. Right now, attendees are getting some hands-on experience with palm pilots, video cameras, and laptops that they can use to gather and disseminate information in quick and seamless ways.
The Rainbow Room here at the LGBT Center is buzzing with questions and answers. Stay tuned for more updates from today's activities, and check back at nten.org/sfwireless for more information and resources from the event!
