From my old friend Sheldon Mains (who is not old, but our friendship is), this story from The Onion. As Home Simpson once said, "It's funny 'cuz it's true!" But it also highlights one of my biggest peeves about the sector, especially as it relates to coffee. I'm a big believer that investing wisely in the infrastructure of your organization, including technology, will pay for iteself in efficiency and effectiveness. (Where are the numbers? Does anyone have any numbers?) Nonprofits aren't supposed to operate in dismal conditions. They are supposed to operate in whatever environment best allows them to do their work.
