Building your list is about retention
I've
been pouring through conference agendas right now seeing what the tech
community and the nonprofit sector are up to, in preparation for 2007 NTC
planning. One of the things I see a lot of is an old refrain -
sessions on how to build your lists. Having an opt-in audience is a
mania that is second to none, if you go by the conference agendas I'm
looking at.
What's interesting to me is that there are almost no sessions on what to do with a person once you've gotten them to join a list. So - hooray for the newest report from M+R. Want to Cultivate New Members? Skip the Small Talk! Real numbers! You gotta love that.
