Low Cost Constituent Databases

The folks at Idealware have published a helpful article entitled A Few Good Tools: Low Cost Constituent Databases,
which looks at low cost ways to track volunteers, donors, partners, and
other constituents. They asked thirteen nonprofit technology
professionals what tools have worked well for them, and present their
findings in an easy-to-fathom Web page.
Since the Idealware article came out the Organizers Database software has undergone some serious engineering (see http://organizersdb.org/whatsnew).
Since last year's 1.0 release, we have added a community-driven web
site; starting on 1/1/07 we began providing support services. A setup
package with a year of support will cost between $325 and $400, and the
software is free, with a GPL license.
